Location-Independent Operations
Pacific Northwest roots, clients nationwide. Our operating model is cloud-native by architecture — the same disciplined IT infrastructure whether you're down the street or across the country.
Honestly, most of what we do doesn't require us to be physically present. Cloud-first architecture means we can manage, monitor, and secure your environment from anywhere. Seattle or Sioux Falls, you get the same service. That includes AI work too — Copilot deployment and AI governance happen at the tenant level, not the building level.
Why Cloud-Native Architecture Works
IT built around a single office and local servers made sense twenty years ago. It doesn't anymore. Your team already works from home offices, client sites, coworking spaces, and occasionally airport lounges. Your data is in the cloud. Your apps are services. The infrastructure needs to match how your business actually operates.
Building on Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID means your people get the same security and the same tools regardless of where they're working. No degraded experience for remote employees. No extra friction for people who aren't in the main office. Just consistent, managed infrastructure that works.
What Makes Remote IT Support Effective
Good remote support isn't answering the phone faster. It's building infrastructure you can actually run from anywhere.
Problems get caught before they become emergencies. Patches happen on schedule. When something needs a human, support is there during business hours with escalation for the urgent stuff. We monitor, we patch, we respond — without needing to be in your building to do it.
When something genuinely needs hands-on attention, we have resources we can dispatch. For most clients, that need comes up a lot less often than they expect.
Everything works for remote clients.
Athencia One gives you the full IT stack — endpoint security, device management, Microsoft 365, monitoring — all delivered through cloud infrastructure. Athencia One Complete is full management, same delivery model. Athencia Backstop runs the security, monitoring, and patching layer behind your internal IT person, also entirely remote. Athencia Comply handles compliance readiness the same way whether you're in Washington or Florida.
Professional Services covers migrations and projects with remote delivery as the default. On-site is available when the work actually requires it.
AI Services Are Remote by Nature
Copilot lives in the cloud. AI governance policies apply to your Microsoft 365 tenant, not your office building. Shadow AI monitoring happens at the identity level, not the network perimeter. That makes AI integration one of the most natural fits for remote delivery. We handle readiness assessments, Copilot deployment and configuration, acceptable use policy development, and AI training workshops entirely remotely. Your team gets the same hands-on guidance whether they're in our time zone or three ahead.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about location-independent operations
Can you provide on-site support anywhere in the US?
Yes. On-site visits are rarely needed — that's the point of cloud-native architecture — but when something genuinely requires physical presence we have resources we can dispatch nationwide. Most clients go months without needing anyone on-site.
How do you handle different time zones?
Primary support hours are 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM Pacific. Monitoring and automated systems run 24/7. For clients in other time zones we're flexible on scheduling, and critical issues have escalation paths outside business hours.
What if we have remote employees across multiple states?
That's actually the easy case for us. Cloud-native infrastructure handles distributed teams well — same device management, same security policies, same support regardless of where someone is working.
Do you charge extra for remote support?
No. Pricing is per user regardless of location. We don't charge travel fees for remote support because there's no travel.
How do you handle compliance for companies in different states?
Compliance frameworks like SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 apply across state lines — they're not geography-dependent. Evidence collection and control implementation work the same way whether you're in Washington or Wyoming. We stay current on state-specific requirements too.
