Partner Network
Your expertise.Our execution.
Athencia works with technical and business advisors who need a trusted partner to implement, operate, and support their clients' technology.
vCISOs, GRC firms, fractional technology leaders, and trusted business advisors.
How the network works
Clear roles make better partnerships
You keep the relationship and the scope you were hired for. Athencia takes responsibility for the technical work we agree to deliver. Where work overlaps, we coordinate. When the customer needs us directly, we communicate with them ourselves instead of routing everything through you.
Athencia works as Athencia. This program is not built on hidden delivery teams or white-label arrangements.
When you know what needs to happen
Advisory & Technical Partners
vCISOs, GRC firms, fractional technology leaders, assessors, and specialist consultants find technical work they do not want to own long term. Athencia can implement the change and, where appropriate, continue operating it.
- Microsoft 365, identity, and endpoints
- Security operations
- Backup, cloud, and infrastructure
- Remediation and ongoing managed IT
Depending on the need, the work may fall under Athencia One, Athencia One Complete, or Athencia Comply.
You remain responsible for your discipline. We remain responsible for ours.
When you know something isn't right
Business Advisory Partners
Bankers, CPAs, cyber insurance brokers, attorneys, and other business advisors often see the warning signs before anyone calls an IT company.
- Buying another business
- Opening a new location
- Changing ownership
- Renewing cyber insurance
- Dealing with fraud
- Preparing for an audit
- Seeking financing
- Growing faster than their IT supports
You do not need to determine whether the answer is better identity controls, endpoint management, backup, MDR, Microsoft 365 work, or a new managed-services relationship.
Make the introduction. Athencia will find out whether there is a real problem and whether we are the right firm to solve it.
Partner examples
Where Athencia fits
vCISO and security advisory
You own the security program, the risk decisions, the governance, and the roadmap. Athencia can handle the technical changes and ongoing operations required to put that program into practice.
GRC and compliance
A readiness assessment often ends with technical work that still has to get done. Athencia can implement the controls, fix configuration problems, document the work, and continue operating the controls that need ongoing management.
Fractional CIO / CTO
Lead strategy without having to build a support desk or an IT operations team. Athencia can handle the users, systems, security, cloud services, infrastructure, and implementation work behind the roadmap.
Cyber insurance
When a client cannot confidently answer questions about MFA, endpoint security, backup, privileged access, or monitoring, introduce us. The broker keeps the insurance relationship. Athencia handles the technology conversation.
Business advisors
Bankers, CPAs, attorneys, and other advisors often see operational risk before an IT provider does. You do not need to scope the fix. Introduce us and we'll handle the technical discovery.
Practical reasons
A reliable next call
The work gets owned
If you identify a technology problem, someone still has to own the fix. Athencia can scope the work, implement it, and stay responsible for it where ongoing management is required.
You stay in your lane
We do not treat an introduction as permission to take over work you already own.
Bring us in before you know the answer
You do not need a finished scope before making an introduction. We can evaluate the environment and find out what is needed.
Referrals work both ways
Athencia customers need good bankers, accountants, brokers, attorneys, and security advisors too. When a partner is the right fit, we want to make that introduction.
Engagement patterns
Ways to work together
Most relationships start one of three ways.
Referral
Make the introduction and Athencia takes it from there. We handle discovery, proposal, contracting, and delivery. Stay involved if there is a reason to, or step away.
Collaborative
Both teams work directly with the customer and stay accountable for separate scopes. This is common with vCISO, GRC, fractional CIO, and other advisory relationships.
Strategic
Some relationships become more active over time, with shared account planning, joint discovery, reciprocal introductions, customer reviews, and occasional joint events.
For bankers, CPAs, brokers, and attorneys
You don't need to become an IT expert.
If a client mentions unreliable technology, a painful cyber insurance application, fraud concerns, fast growth, or a provider they no longer trust, that is reason enough to introduce us.
Athencia will handle the technical questions.
Things a client might say
“We're acquiring another company. What do we need to think about?”
“Our cyber insurer is asking questions we can't answer.”
“We had a fraud incident and don't know if our systems contributed.”
“We're growing faster than our IT can support.”
“I don't think our current provider is giving us straight answers.”
“We're preparing for an audit and found gaps.”
Athencia works openly
We do not enter new white-label managed-services relationships or operate anonymously behind another provider.
We also will not take operational responsibility for systems we cannot properly access, manage, or discuss with the customer.
If a customer hires Athencia, they know they hired Athencia.
What you can expect from us
We respect the relationship that brought us into the account. We define responsibilities before work starts, communicate when our work affects yours, protect information shared with us, and own the commitments we make.
When an Athencia customer needs expertise you provide, we want to make that introduction. And if Athencia is not the right answer for something, we will say so.
Partner Network questions
Do you offer white-label managed services?
No. Partner Network relationships are built around Athencia working openly as Athencia.
Do I need to understand the client's IT problem before making an introduction?
No. For bankers, CPAs, brokers, attorneys, and other business advisors, noticing that something needs attention is enough. Athencia handles the technical discovery.
Who contracts with the customer?
Athencia normally contracts directly with the customer for the services we provide. Partners keep their own agreements and their own scope.
Do you pay referral fees?
Some qualified opportunities may be eligible for referral compensation. It is optional, and some firms and professionals cannot accept it.
Know who to call before you need them.
You do not need an active client opportunity to talk with us. A short conversation now makes the introduction easier when something eventually comes up.
