🧠 The Story Behind Athencia

Hi, my name is Jeremy Phillips, and I started Athencia for one simple reason: I’ve long believed there is a better way to do IT management for small businesses, one where technology becomes an enabler instead of pure overhead that’s managed by what is frequently a fraught relationship with a managed service provider. With the prevalence of cloud computing and the rapid growth of AI, the technology is finally here to help businesses drive real growth.

This isn’t my first time doing this. I’ve worked in the technology field for almost 30 years. This is my second time as an MSP owner, and I’ve held leadership roles in four others. I’ve helped build, scale, and steer managed service providers through growth, chaos, and everything in between. Along the way, I’ve supported both some of the world’s largest companies and the lean, fast-moving small businesses that keep local economies running.

What I’ve learned along the way is this: The size of your company doesn’t matter. What matters is the quality of your technology and the clarity of your strategy.

I built Athencia to deliver both.
